1. Fellowship to us means:
Providing a means of bringing a diversity of unmarried people together
individually and collectively. Facilitating and embracing the development of Godly meaningful relationships to each other inside and outside the church thru various fellowships, activities and events (missions, outreach, social, recreational, educational).
2. Our fellowships:
Cater to men and women of all ages and diverse backgrounds such as the following: Bowling; Christmas outings (plays); Riverside Dinner Theater (Ragtime); Riverdance Musical (Wolf Trap Theater); Fellowship Breakfasts, Luncheons and Dinners; Barbecue Fellowships; Bible studies through dvd's, bible reading, and open discussion forums.
3. Our support system:
We are not certified counselors, but we make every effort to strengthen and encourage each other in our relationship with each other and the Lord as Singles. We always provide encouragement through our words as well as various activities, events or special programs to help apply the word of God to live a wholesome Christian lifestyle through the obedience of the Holy Spirit. We reach out to all singles to include the unsaved. We listen and we speak as the holy spirit guides us. If there is a situation that is beyond our boundaries, we direct the individual towards church leadership, such as Pastorial Care. We also reach out to the children of the Single Parent by having Christmas outreach and also recreation (day outing consisting of movies, pizza and window shopping). We also intercede in prayer for the Singles and their families.
4. We believe equipping means to strengthen and prepare people.
We equip by encouraging individuals to be:
• Christ-minded
• Self-sufficient
• Confident
