OUR BELIEFS
We believe … the Bible in its entirety is the inspired Word of God and is our infallible source and code of conduct – spiritually, morally, physically and financially.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 1Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe … in one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:21-22); 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe … that man was created in the image and likeness of God. He was blessed and given dominion and authority over the earth. Sin came into the world through man’s disobedience and death as the result of sin - so all are born in sin.
(Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 3; Romans 5:12-21)
We believe … that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He was crucified, died, was buried and raised up from the dead by the Glory of the Father. He ascended into heaven and became the Savior of the world.
(Isaiah 7:14; Mathew 1:18; Luke 24:6-7; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Acts 4:10; John 20:17; I John 4:14)
We believe … that personal salvation is found by repentance and faith in the shed blood of Jesus and when experienced produces eternal life.
(Luke 5:32; 2 Peter 3:9; John 3:15-17; Ephesians 1:7; Romans 10:9-10)
We believe … in sanctification by the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit and that we are to pursue holiness which is wholeness in Christ Jesus.
(John 17:17; Ephesians 5:26; 1 Thessalonians 4:2-7, 5:23; Hebrews 12:14)
We believe … the baptism of the Holy Spirit is promised to all believers. It is received subsequent to the new birth with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance, and that the manifestation of spiritual gifts are given to each one for the profit of all.
(Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:1-4, 38; Acts 10:44-47; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
We believe … that divine healing is the will of God and provided for us through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
(Matthew 8:16-17; Isaiah 53:4-5; Luke 6:17-19; 1 Peter 2:24)
We believe … in partaking of the Holy Ordinances. Water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing blood of Jesus and a testimony to our faith in Him. Holy Communion is an act of worship in remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:3-4; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
We believe … in the Christian’s hope - the personal, imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment - the righteous unto eternal life and everlasting punishment for the lost.
(Acts 1:9-11; Titus 2:13-14; Matthew 25: 31-46; Revelation 20:11-15)
